The Merton Primary is a school for children aged from four to eleven years old. We are a co-educational, non-denominational school with 316 children currently on role. Within our learning environment we aim to  have the strong, caring family ethos of a village school whilst  offering the  additional range of opportunities and resources of a large primary.

Conversion to Academy Status – Consultation (3^rd February – 9^th March 2012)

In the summer of 2010 the coalition government introduced a new initiative which enabled schools to convert to the new style academy status. The Governing Body of The Merton Primary School became aware of this issue and it was agreed at that time to monitor events and review our options as necessary. During the interim, senior staff and governors have attended a number of information sessions, conferences and meetings to research the best options for The Merton Primary School.
